The hike is of moderate difficulty. It is about 8 km (5 miles) round trip with some steep sections. Both ways the trail has around 500 meter (0.3 miles) elevation gain A good fitness level is required and some experience is preferred so we can have an even pace throughout the hike, this makes sure all our guests has a good hiking experience.

The entire tour lasts around 7 hours, including transportation and the hike itself. We will spend approximately 5 hours on the trail, including breaks.

Our tours start from Stavanger. When booking, you can choose your preferred pickup location. If your accommodation is not listed, please contact us and we will find a solution for you! The tour start time is specified in your booking confirmation, but it is usually between 07:00 am and 10:00 am.

Wear sturdy hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. We highly recommend having rain clothes as the weather is unstable in the region. Bring water (1-2 liters), food, snacks and a small backpack to gather your things. If you need to borrow any gear or clothing, please contact us!

Yes! We provide free access to clothes and equipment in good quality to our customers. We can provide: Hiking jacket (waterproof), Hiking pants (waterproof), Hiking shoes (waterproof), Hiking poles (adjustable), Gloves (waterproof). The equipment will be handed over at the beginning of your tour. You can also reserve equipment as an add-on when you book.

Hiking shoes, warm clothing, and outdoor clothing are mandatory. We recommend bringing more than you think if you are unsure - you can always store excess belongings in our car.

The trail is well-maintained and offers good hiking conditions. We require a decent level of stamina for our group tours to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. If you prefer a more tailored experience at your own pace, we also offer private tours where there is no-one else to take into consideration.

If you are arriving with a cruise ship, we will meet you at the parking lot right by the cruise gate. For group tours, we require at least 7 hours of docking time. If you have less than 7 hours, a private tour is a better option as we can adjust the tour duration to fit your schedule. With a private tour we can accommodate down to 6 hours docking time if you are an experienced hiker.

We welcome children, but we prefer a minimum age of 6 years for children joining our group tours. If your child is younger, consider their capabilities and contact us beforehand. Alternatively feel free to book a private tour - this ensures a stress-free experience without having to worry about the pace of other participants.

Unless conditions become unsafe, we go through with the tours. If we observe any lightning or hear thunder on the trail, we will turn back to ensure your safety. The region has unstable weather, and rain might occur randomly. The trail is still perfectly safe even in the rain.

Our experienced guides carry first aid kits, are competent drivers with commercial driving licenses and will monitor weather conditions beforehand. If there are any concerns about your safety before or on the tour, you will be informed. Additionally, our company vans are modern 2022 electric models.

There is no need to worry about the weather - the forecasts in this area are very unreliable and often changes quickly to the better. Let us take care of the weather evaluation. Please contact us if you are unsure about the weather before you change or cancel your booking.

You will be transported in a white Opel Vivaro Electric with the Get Guided Norway name and logo on it. Our vans are modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly.

Yes! All our tours include round-trip transportation from your accommodation in Stavanger. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the price. If you prefer being picked up at the airport or in the neighboring cities, this cost an additional 500NOK for group tours, but is included for free in our private tours.

We have guides speaking Czech, Danish, English, French, German, Norwegian and Spanish. The default language for our tours is English, as we usually have mixed nationalities. If you have a special request regarding the language spoken, please get in touch with us beforehand.

Our group tours are limited to 8 people per guide to ensure safety and a great experience. In rare cases we may slightly increase the group size per guide.

If you're considering bringing a dog, please contact us first to get details about this. We also need to ensure that it won't affect other guests if they have allergies.

We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. For cancellations within 24 hours, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

You can book directly through our website using the 'Book Now' buttons on each tour page. This will open our FareHarbor booking system where you can select your preferred date and complete your reservation. If you prefer booking a tour through email, you are welcome to reach out to us.

We accept all major credit cards through our secure booking system. Payment is processed at the time of booking.
